Two posts in two days! Whaaa?

It's not a full post though... so don't get too excited. Unless you really want to... then bust out the noise makers!

I've been up since 5:50 AM. Want to know why? Because it was my chance to sleep in. No, that's not the reason, but our boys are staying with Papa and Namma for two days, so it was actually my chance to sleep in- YET- the people upstairs (Ah, the joys of apartment living... I forgot all about these types of things) decide to have some kind of couples brawl at 5:50 this morning. Seriously. I thought they were trying to kill each other yesterday, and then this morning, bright and early, screaming, thudding, weird growling noises, blaring stereo, "Now that's what I'm talking about", obnoxious laughter, yelling in the hall, yelling right outside my windows, screaming at each other again, some more strange noises, thudding... for FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. I'm not exaggerating... this makes for a long day. I almost called the police, but took it to the appropriate avenue first -- management. And I come to find out that I was the fourth person to call them about it today! So, I know I wasn't imagining it, it was loud enough for everyone to hear apparently.

Enough of that frustration. Let's turn to something fun! First off, I'm super excited for our South Haven family shoot tomorrow afternoon- it will be loads of fun. Second, here is a preview of the Koster(&DeVree!!) family shoot. How do I sum up the Kosters? They are full of energy, humor, fun, outbursts of semi-awkwardness, creative, stylish, they are caring, full of love, and they like cows. Well, except Scottie. You'll see what I'm talking about in a later post. But here we are. I had an extremely tough time weeding through all these shots, and an even harder time selecting a preview... it's not a "traditional" family portrait, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Stay tuned for a full post within the next week... or sooner! If I can get all my unpacking done!

Alan & Bekah

It's about time for this post. Am I right? Let me fill you in a little on the struggles surrounding this lengthy vacation from  you blog. Basically, we had pretty short notice to move. EEK! So after scouring the earth for another place to live, that would suit our family AND was within our price range, we found a place about four days before the move. We had to downsize considerably, BUT we had a huge sale, made some money which we then spent at IKEA (because that's the perfect place to go when you need to downsize!). About three days before we move, I ended up in the E.R., long story short, I have had pneumonia for some time apparently... explains all of the worn out-ness and getting winded easily. So I'm on some drugs for that, and with all the packing, moving, unpacking, who wouldn't be tired (not to mention, that also in that short time, my father ended up in the U of M with heart problems). But alas, the day has come and I shall blog some of my favorite photos from the July 17, 2010 wedding of Alan & Bekah Young. They were the nicest, calmest spirits I've met yet, and you will be able to tell from the photos, that they are deeply in love.

Of course, since there were bubbles, bubble wars ensued.

My favorite part of weddings: Older than me people. They know where it's at.

And this was Grandma. A darling little lady. Loved this picture of her.

Next up for the blog, the Koster Family. And shortly after that, I should have another family blog post. See you then.

It's been too long...

I don't like doing this until I have a full post to publish, BUT it's been a couple weeks, and I still have too much work to post yet, so I'm posting a teaser. I know I said I don't like to, but I am.
I know a ring shot isn't too much of a preview... but it will have to do for now!

Not only am I in the middle of two jobs, we are also moving! In a couple days actually... and our summer has been the busiest summer EVER. Our oldest child is starting kindergarten in less than a month... life is crazy right now! Hopefully, after we get moved in, I will be able to crank out the rest of these wedding photos and post a full blog a couple days after that! And then look for a super fun blog of Koster family photos :) Until then, I must continue to divide my work between maintaining our family, packing/sorting/yard saling stuff, and working on editing... See you on the other side!
