Michael + Emily: Sneek Peak!

I'll elaborate a little bit more on the awesomeness of Michael and Emily when I post the full engagement session- but here is just one little pictures to tide you over :

Consultations & Robert Pattinson.

We've been meeting with people left and right about weddings for 2011. We've been crazy busy. But that's not what the majority of this post is about. It's about Robert Pattinson... well, a little bit. Mostly it's about this cutey right here:

Most of my readers have probably seen him already- this is Elliot Fox. My darling child. He's quite a character. What most of you may not know, is that he has had this crazy head of hair since he was born. Quite literally, he was born with an orange mohawk. NO JOKE. I have pictures to prove it. Let me dig one up real quick... okay, that wasn't real quick... it took me a good five minutes at least! Here he is a day old:

You can't really see how orange his hair is... because it needs washed! But don't worry- I have a few more examples for you!

Quite some orange hair. It's toned down since then. But now I'm getting to my point- I've been told on a couple occasions that Elliot looks like Edward Cullen (unless you've been hiding under a rock, we all know Edward Cullen is from the book turned movie series Twilight) and sometimes Robert Pattinson, but when my husband stated it yesterday, then I knew it must be true-- I'm sure it's only because of his hair. Or if you need a visual, this guy right here:

You can notice the hair resemblance very easily now, I'm sure. But just for good measure:

I know! So now I'm thinking that Hollywood is missing out on a huge opportunity. That opportunity being, my son playing the role of a young Robert in any movie it's needed. HELLO. Look at my little man, he's a stud. :) I know he doesn't look so brooding yet... but the teen years will come, and I know he'll nail that look then! Just for fun- stumbled across this when I was looking for baby pictures:

We look so little and young! :D That was almost six years ago now! Time flies.

One last shot I wanted to share- from our self family portraits yesterday (from the shoot for our Christmas cards of course!)

Where has summer gone?

We've been having a gorgeous fall here in Michigan!  Yesterday (11-11-10) had to be almost in the 70's! I had the windows open and the nice breeze blowing through! And as I am trying to get caught up on personal family photos, I stumbled across this shot:

I've been assured that there are millions of photos like this in the world. However, I like the seagull in it. So there. There are many enjoyable things in this world, but watching the sunset over Lake Michigan is one that I get to do, and I think it's lovely. 

On the reverse side- on the way home from this trip where this shot was taken, then moon loomed largely in the sky, which was really quite fun! And if you've ever attempted to take a good photo of the moon- you know how hard it is... then add to that riding in a car, while trying to steady your hands and get a decent photo of the moon! I think I may have gotten one, though:

You know when the moon looks bigger than five Earths combined in the sky, and then you try to take a picture, and it looks like an eraser tip in your photo... that sucks. I think this demonstrates how large the moon looked, I mean, it at least looks bigger than the cars! I think that soon I shall post some of my favorite fall shots- in honor of my favorite season. Farewell, for now.

I had to share this-- these have just been building up for some time, and I haven't had any downtime to actually work on them. These shots were taken, whilst on a dinner break during the Seale Family shoot in South Haven, MI.

It's too bad you can't make this into a print and frame it on your wall.... maybe one of those funky hologram type things would work?

Family FUN Post: Gull Meadow Farms.

I posted a preview of this family outing quite a while back- and now I have decided to share a little bit of my family with you. We are a relatively young family-- so our traditions are forming, and going to Gull Meadow Farms is becoming one of those traditions. (As a side note- once the month of October is underway here in Michigan- do not, I repeat, DO NOT! go to Gull Meadow Farms on a weekend-- it's crazy there! Super busy... and not worth all that waiting! We tried to go on a Sunday afternoon originally, and we left immediately when we saw the masses... and came back on Monday- MUCH BETTER.) Here are some fun photos:

 Yeah... that bit of glue on his face? He decided to do a face dive onto the dulcimer... one of the strings cut his eyebrow open. It wasn't funny when it happened, because we all know how head/face injuries bleed, but after he had fallen asleep in the ER-- we chuckled a little about the red string marks on his forehead, and the one fret line that was above his eyebrow for a few hours...
